These terms govern your use of Beem Slide — the hosted studio, the cloud services behind it (storage, publishing, sharing, the AI copilot), and this website. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. The open-source packages we publish to npm are licensed separately under the license in each package.
The service
Beem Slide lets you author slide decks as real code — in the browser with an AI copilot, or locally with your own tools — and host, publish and share them from your cloud workspace. Parts of the service are usage-metered: plans include a monthly AI allowance, and paid plans unlock additional capabilities. What each plan includes is described on the pricing page.
Your account
- You need an account for the cloud features. Keep your credentials to yourself.
- You are responsible for activity under your account, including access tokens you create for the CLI or CI. You can revoke tokens at any time from the account panel.
- You must be legally able to enter this agreement in your jurisdiction.
Your content
- Your decks are yours. You keep all rights to the content you create or upload. You can export or pull your decks out at any time, on any plan, for free.
- You grant us the license we need to operate the service: storing your content, running it in your workspace, generating previews, and — when you publish a deck — serving it to the people you share it with. That license ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the deletion window below.
- Publishing makes a deck available to anyone with the link (plus any password or expiry you set). You are responsible for what you publish.
AI output
The copilot generates content with third-party AI models. Generated content can be wrong, incomplete, or unoriginal. Review it before you rely on it or present it as fact. You are responsible for the decks you publish, including AI-written parts.
Acceptable use
- No unlawful content or use, and nothing that infringes the rights of others.
- No probing, breaking, or working around the service’s isolation and rate limits — the workspace sandbox included.
- No reselling the service or programmatically farming the free AI allowance.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.
Plans, billing and changes
- Paid plans are billed by our merchant of record. Cancellation and refunds work as described in the refund policy.
- AI allowances reset monthly and don’t roll over.
- We can change prices or what plans include; changes to a paid plan take effect at your next renewal, with notice beforehand.
Leaving
You can delete your account from the account panel at any time. Published decks go offline immediately; your data is kept for a 30-day grace window (log back in to cancel the deletion), then permanently removed. We can suspend or close accounts for violating these terms, and will say why unless the law prevents it.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of $100 or what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we will give notice — by email or in the product — before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
